Myans and their calendars

It occurred to me a few days ago that if the Myans were right with the world ending it would have happend a long time ago. Think about it, they didn't count for leap years, spring forward and fall back, and when people started using Gregorian or Julies calendars or something like that. Also had it ever occurred to you that the Myans just got tired of writing in stone every single moment of their lives. They had calendars for everything when to praise their god,when to plant their crops, when to make their sacrifices, stuff like that. Plus look at the date that I have posted this blog. It is 2013 and we are all still here. Pretty soon the scientists will dig up another calendar and say that the world will end in 2265 on the first day of the harvesting of the corn plants or something like that.
